In the women’s double sculls, the USRowing TC – Princeton duo of Kate Bertko (Oakland, Calif.) and Sarah Trowbridge (Guilford, Conn.) won with a time of 7:11.96.

GOLD RIVER, Calif. - Stanford women’s rowing finished second in the team standings of the NCAA Championships Sunday.

-Oakland Strokes Rower Kate Bertko taking 2nd in Double Scull in Munich

 In the women’s double sculls, Kate Bertko (Oakland, Calif.) and Sarah Trowbridge (Guilford, Conn.) rowed in second place the length of their race finishing in 7:00.26 behind the Great Britain’s Katherine Granger and Melanie Wilson, who won the event in 6:57.52.

-With 3 strokes rowers Brown women’s crew wins 2011 NCAA division I rowing championship

With Oakland Strokes Rowers Ali Mittlberger and Camilla Polakoff in Junior Varsity 8+ and Lauren Meyer at 2 seat in varsity 4+.

“Our team really went after it today. I can’t compliment them enough,” said Murphy. “I thought it was feasible coming into today’s racing, but there’s a certain degree of shock.  I’m so proud of this team.”
