Our Novice and varsity boats will race at all the top junior regattas in the country. Year after year we take home medals at all levels in regional and national competitions.  We are able to introduce rowers to college recruiters all season at our boathouse and prepare rowers to get noticed.  The oakland Strokes alums are also represented on the US National team and race in the Olimpics.

Membership fees for Oakland Strokes for 2012-2013 are $1,150 for fall and $1,150 for spring. Most travel and personal gear cost extra.  The novices’ fall tryout period fee of $220 will be applied toward the full fall fee of $1,150, if your rower continues. There are no tryout periods in the spring, but novice rowers may join in spring.

As a great incentive to support our annual fundraising and to encourage families to give something extra, Oakland Strokes offers a discount on Spring tuition at certain giving levels.  Note that the tax deductible amount of your gift is subject to each family’s individual tax situation.  As shown below, the Spring registration will be reduced based on the donation amount.  To take advantage of this offering, please go to the Donate tab.  Once you complete the donation, you will receive an email to confirm the discount and instruct you how to register.

To apply for a scholarship, please review the financial aid application link below.  You will still need to register online.  When you get to the payment window, use the coupon code on the financial aid application to delay full payment.
